Born on Bali, Marianne Cats, spent her life in countries throughout Asia, East Africa, South America and since 1985 the Netherlands Antilles.In 1985, when Curacao became her home, she was absorbed by the colourful scenes of street panoramas and its history. Being inspired as a painter as well as an interior-architect, she translated her visions of the Antillean past into watercolours and acrylic paintings.
Highly successful exhibitions of this period have followed in Curacao and the Netherlands.
